"Whether you're assisting with setup, cleanup, or supporting fun, dog-themed activities, this is a great opportunity to give back to the community, earn volunteer hours, and enjoy a tail-wagging good time," city officials said in a statement in their newsletter last week.
For people interested in attending the event, it will include several family-friendly activities, such as a dog costume contest, story times, a "Paint Your Pet Class," and food trucks, according to Fremont city officials. There will also be opportunities to adopt, vaccinate and train dogs.
