WATCH “GREASE” IN THE PARK

Where/When: Newark Community Center Park, 35501 Cedar Blvd. in Newark; Friday from 7 to 10 p.m.

Why Go: Dress up in 50s attire and catch a sing-along version of classic musical “Grease” at the last Movies in the Park of the summer while supporting Newark’s Relay for Life. The Bay Bombs Car Club will also be there showing off their vintage cruisers. Come early, this one will be packed!

HOLY REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH YARD SALE

Where/When: Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church, 35660 Cedar Blvd. in Newark; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Find bargains on clothes, books, furniture and more at this first annual event. Food will also be available in exchange for donations.

Price: Free

UNION CITY RELAY FOR LIFE

Where/When: James Logan High School, 1800 H St. in Union City; from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday

Why Go: "Celebrate, remember, fight back" during this 24-hour walk/run for cancer awareness. The event will feature special remembrance ceremonies and a variety of fundraising games, raffle prizes, activities and live entertainment for the entire community. Come cheer your neighbors on!

Price: Free to attend, but bring cash for the fundraising activities and raffles.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL CONCERT AT SOUTHLAND MALL

Where/When: Southland Mall in Hayward; Saturday at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Catch a free concert by Interscope recording artist Jasmine V. There will also be face painting, balloon art, prizes and a chance to win an iPad Mini.

NILES ANTIQUE FAIR AND FLEA MARKET

Where/When: Niles Boulevard between G and J streets in Fremont; Sunday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Downtown Niles will transform into a bargain hunter's paradise with more than 200 vendors selling collectibles, arts, crafts, food and much more.
