A woman was pushed to the ground, hit in the head with a gun and kicked during a robbery near the Fremont BART station on Wednesday night, police said Thursday.
The robbery occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Bart Way near Civic Center Drive, according to Fremont police. The suspect also pointed the gun at the victim's head and demanded her cellphone and purse, then fled and was last seen running toward Washington Hospital, police said.
The suspect, who has not been found, was described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs between 165 and 170 pounds and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, according to police.
