Woman Threatened To Commit Shooting At Factory In East Bay: Police

The woman told police she had been hearing voices telling her to do the shooting.

FREMONT, CA — Police placed a mental health hold on a woman who said she was going to commit a shooting Sept. 15 at a Fremont factory.

On Sept. 15, Fremont Police Department officers said they received a call from someone saying they were headed to a factory on Fremont Boulevard to commit a shooting.

Police said they sent officers to the factory to secure it along with security.

Police later learned that the subject had made the call from a phone they borrowed on the bus. The person who owned the phone had then texted the police to confirm the subject was still on the bus headed to Fremont.

Police said they apprehended the subject and placed her on a mental health hold. She admitted that she had been hearing voices telling her to commit the shooting at the factory.
