Voters are being asked to unseat Gov. Gavin Newsom. Why do you think he should be recalled?
Gavin Newsom has failed the people of California by violating the public trust that has been placed in him. Not only because of him acting hypocritically by feasting indoors at the French Laundry while other restaurants were restricted from opening and people were told to stay home but also because of him misusing public funds collected by way of the gas tax, lying about the amount of land clearing done to prevent wildfires, colluding with PG&E to cover up their involvement in the fires and a multitude of issues the governor has shown complete neglect for.

How does your experience — professional or political — make you the right candidate to replace Newsom?
A Governor's role is supervisorial which is a position I've held before in the private sector for several Fortune 500 companies overseeing hundreds of employees and included a myriad of responsibilities. Being an elected representative also requires having to work directly with the public and as an community organizer I've done this successfully for over a decade by being involved with neighborhood clean up projects, organizing protests, providing meals to the homeless, mentoring troubled youth, and more. Having already built a trustworthy rapport with those I seek to represent, I'm confident I'll do a better job at governing than Newsom.

What sets you apart from the other candidates for governor?
Unlike every other candidate running, my campaign platform appeals to a great majority of voters and is centralized on autonomy and protecting the liberty of all Californians. Constitutional governance comes first and foremost and is my primary pledge to We The People. Government should not be used as a means to force any individuals personal ideas or moral definitions on another nor will that be the circumstance with me serving as a representative. Also, the actionable items I propose for homelessness, poverty, community violence, public transportation, utility demands and environmental preservation are uniquely innovative.

Describe one of Newsom’s policies or actions that have not worked, and what would you have done differently in the same situation.
Restricting Californians' right to travel, earn a living, attend school, or meet with friends and family in response to Covid19 was unnecessary and dictatorial by Gavin Newsom. His shelter in place orders, mask mandates and other lockdown measures did nothing to prevent the spreading of coronavirus or keep others from getting sick. As governor I would never prevent someone from exercising their right to choose for themselves nor will I allow any government official to ever violate a person's medical freedom.

Are there any of Gov. Newsom’s policies that you approve of, and if so, why?
Capital punishment is a policy that I do not support and am glad Gavin Newsom has refused to kill any death row inmates. Taxpayers money should not be used to take a human's life so as Governor I will ban the practice altogether which is an additional step that Newsom has yet to take. Housing violent offenders sentenced to death and executing them will be a service provided by private prisons only.

How would you try to change or influence California’s political culture?
Me being elected would be highly influential in many ways since I'd be the first Black Governor of California that is also a Republican who supports reforming our law system, decriminalization of all substances, sex work, and gambling, and want's to protect a woman's right to choose. I'm also a proponent of constitutional carry and elimination of taxes which makes my candidacy appealing to the majority of Californians. Pigeonholing me politically isn't possible which shatters the narrative of the typical representative and is a shift extremely desired by We The People.

What is the single most important thing California must do to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic, and what would you do in your first year to bring that about?
Our state's economy has been severely impacted by the government's response to coronavirus. Millions of people are out of work and are unable to find a job because businesses have either closed down permanently or have moved out of the state entirely. That's why I plan to suspend the collection of all taxes so that taxpayers can keep more money in their pockets at a time when it's desperately needed. A public audit will also be conducted so that Californians may know how and where public funds have been spent over the past 5 years.

The best advice ever shared with me was:
After running twice for Governor and once for Fullerton City Council, I moved to Fresno and was preparing a campaign for Mayor. Officials of the Libertarian Party were also suggesting for me to also run for senate in my area which I was considering until I had a private conversation with former New York Gubernatorial Candidate Larry Sharpe. After finding out more from me as to why I was running for office he advised me to only run for executive positions so that I may showcase my leadership abilities in the most fashionable manner which is exactly what I've done.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Government is out of control because We The People allow it to be. We're always supposed to be in control but lost it when we excused their wrongdoings and did not limit the amount of our money that they're allowed to spend. This basic foundation of government operation has been disrupted and needs to be reestablished in order for us to get back a representative government that abides by the constitution. I'd be honored to take that oath and serve as a representative to show all of America how governments who govern the least govern the best!
