CA Winner Gets $1M Mega Millions Prize
No one hit the Mega Millions jackpot in Tuesday's drawing, but one Californian won $1 million. Friday's jackpot will be even bigger.

CALIFORNIA — One lucky Californian matched five numbers to net a $1 million prize during Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, becoming one of just three winners across the nation to nab the second-tier prize. Four other Californians hit for four numbers and the Mega Ball, earning a third-tier prize of nearly $10,000.
Tuesday's winning numbers were 31, 35, 53, 54 and 55, with Mega Ball of 24.
Lottery officials said no ticket matched all six numbers Tuesday, feeding an estimated $476 million jackpot for Friday's drawing — the 13th largest in the game's history. In the game's current run, 20 people have won $1 million or more in California, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
