Fresno County Crash Leaves 4 Dead, 3 Seriously Hurt: Reports
Four people died and three more were seriously hurt in a crash on Interstate 5, near state Route 33, according to reports.

COALINGA, CA — A crash in Fresno County left four people dead and three others seriously hurt Wednesday morning, according to reports.
The southbound lanes of Interstate 5, north of Derrick Avenue, was closed due to a deadly crash investigation, the California Highway Patrol tweeted around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers were told to expect delays and to use alternative routes. It wasn't immediately known when the lanes would reopen.
The crash involved two vehicles and happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, KFSN-TV reported. One of the vehicles was a big rig, The Fresno Bee reported.

Traffic cameras on I-5 in Coalinga showed traffic completely stopped on the southbound lanes.
Coalinga is a city about 40 miles southwest of Fresno. It has about 17,000 residents.
