Fresno County Sheriff's Office: Detectives Investigating Deadly Shooting Of 16 Year Old Boy In Orange Cove

The other boy, a 14 year old, was transported to the hospital. He was treated and released.

Shortly after 10:00 pm on Monday, Orange Cove Police responded to a shots fired call near 10th and C Streets.

Officers arrived and found two male gunshot victims. One, a 16 year old, died at the scene. The other boy, a 14 year old, was transported to the hospital. He was treated and released.

Orange Cove Police requested the Sheriff’s Office take over the investigation. Our detectives responded to the scene. No suspects have been identified. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance videos to try and determine a suspect description. This is being investigated as a possible gang-related shooting.
