The FCSO is notifying the public of the 2022 Off Highway Motor Vehicle grant application, which runs from March 8, 2022 through May 11, 2022. It is now open for public comment.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting state funding for Law Enforcement on Off Highway Trails.

Each year the State of California makes funding available through the OHV Grants Program. This resource provides financial assistance to eligible agencies and organizations (federal, city, county, nonprofit, etc.). It’s a tool to help develop, maintain, operate, expand, support, or contribute to well-managed, high-quality, OHV recreation areas, roads and trails.

As part of the grant application, the state requires the grant be available for public review and input for 60 days. The grant can be viewed and written comments can be submitted at http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/.

The comment period ends May 11, 2022 at 5:00 pm.
