Man arrested for murder after neighbor dispute turns deadly in Fresno (kmph.com) — Fresno police say a long-running neighbor dispute ended in deadly gunfire Tuesday evening near Clinton and Bond, leaving a 64-year-old man dead and a 74-year-old neighbor jailed on a murder charge. Officers recovered a firearm and are asking anyone who saw or heard anything to contact Fresno homicide detectives or Crime Stoppers with tips.
   

2. This downtown Fresno property will soon be empty. Cue the nostalgia (fresnobee.com) — A long-running Office Depot in downtown Fresno, at Divisadero and Tulare, is closing Feb. 21, leaving a prominent property empty and sparking memories for longtime residents. Locals recall when the site was the bustling Farmers Market and Plaza Shopping Center, once a “city within a city” filled with restaurants, shops, and services that helped define Fresno’s mid-century life.
   

3. Owners of Fresno's WTF food truck ask for community's help; wife in hospice care (fresnobee.com) — A Fresno family behind the popular WTF (Where’s The Food) truck is asking for community support as co-owner Lida Nguyen enters hospice care for cancer. A GoFundMe organized by Fresno Street Eats founder Mike Osegueda has already raised thousands to help with burial costs and financial needs, with Fresno’s food truck and restaurant community rallying around the family.
   

4. Fresno County detectives need your help solving 2-year-old Christmas Eve cold case (yourcentralvalley.com) — Fresno County detectives are renewing their call for help solving the 2023 Christmas Eve killing of 33-year-old Cassandra Munoz, a Fresno woman found in an orchard near Fowler. With few witnesses and limited family contact, investigators urge anyone who knew her or has information to call Detective Jose Diaz at (559) 600-8204.
   

5. Fire damages Fresno home, kills family pet (yourcentralvalley.com) — Early Christmas morning, a house fire on East Palo Alto Avenue in Fresno displaced a family of seven and killed one of their dogs, though all residents escaped safely. Fresno Fire crews battled flames in the garage and an SUV amid a night of flooding concerns and downed power lines that stretched emergency resources across the city.
