Updated: 2 San Jose Women Arrested For Stealing Morgan Hill Mail

Two women were arrested early Tuesday in Morgan Hill for allegedly stealing mail at an apartment complex.

UPDATE 1:15PM-

MORGAN HILL - Police learned the true name of one of two San Jose women arrested early Tuesday morning in Morgan Hill for allegedly stealing mail at an apartment complex.

One of the suspects was initially identified by police as Latasha Judge, 37, and was sent to Santa Clara County Jail, where officers learned her real name is Fleitcha Johnson, police said today.

Fleitcha Johnson and Myisha Johnson, 36, were arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools, mail theft, felony vandalism and on outstanding warrants, police said.

Officers responded at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a suspicious person at the Murphy Ranch apartments at 310 East Dunne Ave.

The apartment manager told a police dispatcher she could see two women prying the mailboxes open next to the office, and that the women were stealing mail.

Responding officers arrived and located one of the suspects standing next to the mailboxes. Officers eventually located the second suspect hiding behind a bush, police said.

Police said all of the stolen mail was returned.
