3 High School Students Killed In Gilroy Crash On Shore Road; 4th Victim Critically Hurt

Three students from Hollister High School were killed Tuesday night in Gilroy after the driver lost control of their vehicle and struck another car, authorities said.

A statement from the San Benito High School District released Wednesday confirmed that the three students died in a car crash and a former student involved in the crash was in critical condition.

Just before 7 p.m., a driver traveling west on Shore Road west of Lake Road lost control of the vehicle and it crossed into opposing traffic and struck a vehicle going east on Shore Road, the California Highway Patrol said.
