City Seeks Applicants For Building Board of Appeals

Two seats on the board have been open since December.

The City Of Gilroy is looking for applicants to fill two open seats on the Building Board of Appeals.

The seats, open since December, would expire again in 2014.

The five member board conducts hearings as needed to consider matters pertaining to codes for building and construction, according to the city website.

Four of the board members must be trained and qualified to consider issues of building and construction, according to a flyer from the city. They are joined by one public member.

Those interested in serving on the board should submit a board application to Shawna Freels, city clerk, at 7351 Rosanna Street. The City Council will interview applicants on June 6.
