Cyclist Shot, Hospitalized in Morgan Hill: Police

Morgan Hill Police responded to the scene where the man was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. Detectives seek the public's help.

MORGAN HILL, CA -- Police are searching for a suspect connected with a shooting of a 36-year-old man Wednesday who was transported to a trauma center for a gunshot wound after riding his bicycle on Tilton Avenue in Morgan Hill.

He was listed in stable condition, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department.

Officers responded to the area at 7:20 p.m. and found the male victim suffering from the gunshot wound to his leg in the front yard of a residence. He appeared to officers to have been shot while on his bicycle.

Officers canvassed the area and interviewed several witnesses at the scene. Several bullet casings were recovered at the scene.

Detectives are actively investigating this incident and are requesting the help from any additional witnesses.
