Gilroy Woman Identified As Crash Victim
The crash happened on state Highway 152 near Lovers Lane.
GILROY, CA — A woman who died early New Year's Day in a traffic collision on state Highway 152 in Santa Clara County was identified Tuesday by the county Medical Examiner's Office as Rufina Hernandez Estrada, a 44-year-old Gilroy resident.
Hernandez Estrada died after a Nissan SUV and a Chevrolet pickup truck collided at about 12:45 a.m. Monday on Highway 152 near Lovers Lane, east of Gilroy.
Two other people were injured in the wreck.

Highway 152 was closed between Bloomfield Avenue and San Felipe Road following the collision. The highway reopened at about 3:15 a.m.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
