Downed Wires Snare Traffic In Gilroy

GILROY, CA — California Highway Patrol is reporting that downed wires have led to a severe traffic alert on northbound US-101 at Masten Ave in Gilroy. All lanes remain closed. As of 1:15 p.m., motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.
