Fatal Crash In Morgan Hill Sends Car Onto Sidewalk
The Friday night that killed one was located at Venetian Way and Watsonville Road.
MORGAN HILL, CA -- A passenger died and a driver suffered major injuries in a crash on Friday afternoon in Morgan Hill, police said Monday.
The crash happened at Watsonville Road and Venetian Way at 3:45 p.m. after the car drifted from eastbound lanes into westbound lanes and struck a tree, police said.
Police found the car on the sidewalk with major front-end damage and the victims, both from Gilroy, were found unresponsive. They were taken to a trauma center and the passenger was
pronounced dead. The person's name has not been released.

The driver was in critical condition as of Monday morning, according to police. Officers are investigating the crash and anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Scott Silva at (408) 776-7300.
