Gilroy Crews Clear More Flooding Near Christmas Hill Park

GILROY, CA — For the second time in recent weeks, public works crews in Gilroy cleared water from Silva's Crossing on Miller Avenue after flooding closed the roadway Monday.

Traffic reopened in both directions Tuesday, the city announced.

The week of Dec. 13 also saw flooding at Uvas Creek, with a pool of water at the bottom of a slope on the road.

Gilroy, like the rest of the Bay Area, was hit by a rainstorm over the Christmas weekend.
