Gilroy Fatal Stabbing Victim Identified, Police Say

The stabbing that happened on Stoney Court was called in just after midnight last Friday.

GILROY, CA — A victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday has been identified as a 29-year-old Gilroy man, the police department indicated on its Facebook page.

Gilroy police officers are still seeking assistance in finding suspects connected to the death of Johnathan Arroyo Rivera, which was called in about midnight to the 500 block of Stoney Court as a report of an injured male.

Upon arrival, officers found Rivera in front of a residence suffering from at least one stab wound. The motive and circumstances surrounding the stabbing are under investigation. No suspects have been identified.
