Gilroy Neighbors Invited To Take Part In Park Cleanup Day
The city will host a cleanup day this weekend at Gilroy Sports Park.
GILROY, CA — Gilroy residents will have a chance this weekend to get out and beautify the community, earn volunteer hours and reduce litter. The city will host the Gilroy Sports Park Cleanup Day on Saturday morning, inviting all community members to come out and enjoy nature, make friends, and give back. Students can also use the hours to contribute toward volunteer requirements.
According to organizers, the city will provide participants with grabbers and trash bags, and volunteers need only sign a waiver to participate. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent or guardian at check-in to sign the waiver, and participants under 16 must have a parent or guardian accompany them.
Community members interested in participating can sign up in advance online.
