Gilroy Non-Emergency Phone Lines Now Working
A Frontier carrier outage shut down the phone system earlier Thursday.

GILROY, CA — The Gilroy Police Department's non-emergency phone lines are now working after experiencing issues earlier Thursday due to an issue with a Frontier carrier outage.
Non-emergency lines were down and 911 calls were being answered by the city's backup Public Safety Answering Point at Santa Clara County Communications.
The phone lines were restored Thursday morning, the city said in an alert around 8:45 a.m.
