GILROY, CA — The police department is seeking the public's help in finding a suspect who is accused of attempting to pass five fake $20 bills at the 7/11 convenience store on Tenth St in Gilroy. The suspect was caught in the surveillance camera image shown here when the incident occurred last Wednesday at 2:25 p.m. An alert clerk checking out the suspect confronted her upon recognizing the bills that seemed different. The suspect abandoned the bills and fled. Anyone with information on this case or who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the Gilroy Police Department at 408-846-0350.
