Suspect Passing Counterfeit Bills Sought By Gilroy Police

The incident caught on the 7/11 convenience store surveillance camera occurred last Wednesday afternoon.

GILROY, CA — The police department is seeking the public's help in finding a suspect who is accused of attempting to pass five fake $20 bills at the 7/11 convenience store on Tenth St in Gilroy.

The suspect was caught in the surveillance camera image shown here when the incident occurred last Wednesday at 2:25 p.m. An alert clerk checking out the suspect confronted her upon recognizing the bills that seemed different. The suspect abandoned the bills and fled.
