Gilroy Police Targeting Suspected Canopy Thieves

GILROY, CA — The police department needs the public's help identifying the suspects shown here exiting a Target store Wednesday with about $600 worth of merchandise without paying.

The man and woman captured on a store surveillance camera were seen at about 3:30 p.m. with four 10-foot canopies worth about $150 each. They loaded the canopies on the bottom half of a cart, scanned other items in the top portion at the self checkout station and walked out of the Camino Arroyo store without paying for the items in question, according to Gilroy police.

The suspects left in a gold-colored SUV.
