Gilroy Rodeo Returns This Weekend: Bull Riding, Music And More

GILROY, CA — The Gilroy Rodeo returns this weekend at the Gilroy Rodeo Grounds after a year off in 2020.

The festivities will last from Friday through Sunday and feature live music, bull riding, dancing and rodeo performances.

The modern version of the rodeo began in 2018 after a 56-year hiatus. The Gilroy Rodeo was “once a town affair drawing an entire stadium of spectators each June,” according to the event’s website. But it stopped in 1956.

The Gilroy Rodeo Grounds are located at 2365 Dunlap Avenue. Tickets are $20 and kids under 12 have free admission.
