Investigators determined the suspect was upset over being asked to leave the property and confronted someone, then fired a single round.

GILROY, CA — A 40-year-old man was arrested following a shooting at an agricultural field in Gilroy earlier this week, police said Thursday.

Investigators determined Acevedo-Alvarez was upset over being asked to leave the property and confronted someone, then fired a single round that hit the ground near the victim. Acevedo-Alvarez then fled into the nearby creek area but was later found hiding in a tent and was arrested without further incident, police said.
