Man In Fatal Motorcycle Crash Identified

The man was riding his Suzuki motorcycle Saturday morning when he slammed into a disabled vehicle on Hwy. 101 between San Jose and Gilroy.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A man who died in a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 101 in South San Jose early Saturday morning has been identified as 41-year-old Khoa Ha, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

The San Jose man was riding a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 north on the highway south of Metcalf Road at about 2 a.m. when he failed to see a disabled Dodge Charger partially blocking the roadway.

The front of the motorcycle hit the car and Ha was ejected onto the highway. California Highway Patrol officials said he died at the scene. The Dodge had initially swerved to avoid debris and was unable to get off the roadway because the car would not restart after several attempts,
according to the CHP.
