No Major Injuries After SUV Rolls on Hecker Pass

A large SUV lost control and rolled "three to four times" near the Elks Lodge on Hecker Pass Thursday night, according to one of the victims, Stephen Gutierrez. 

Gutierrez was driving with his brother, Joseph, to the gym, he said.

"Thank God we didn't hit those trees," Stephen said, his fingers bloodied after the incident.

Gilroy Police responded to the rollover around 8:10 p.m. while heavy rain continued to fall on the city.

"We're trying to tell people to be careful in this rain," said Gilroy traffic officer Jesus Contreras, one of the officers on the scene of the accident.

Traffic was slowed to one lane while the car was being removed.
