NorCal Lottery Ticket Hits For $226,328 Win

Another three tickets sold in the Bay Area are worth $9,053 each.

CALIFORNIA — No one hit the jackpot in the multi-state MegaMillions lotto Tuesday night, which means Friday's jackpot grows to an estimated $825 million. But a ticket bought in Morgan Hill has a big enough prize to change someone's life: $226,328. A ticket with the same numbers was sold in Yucca Valley and is worth the same payout.

The closest lottery office for the Morgan Hill player to claim the prize is in Milpitas, at 900 Hanson Court, Milpitas, 95035. Call 408-214-4204 to make an appointment.

Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot is $69 million, while the SuperLotto Plus jackpot is $8 million. Three tickets for last Saturday's SuperLotto Plus are each worth $9,053. Those tickets were purchased in Milpitas, San Jose, and Fairfield.

California is one of just eight states that do not tax lottery winnings. The others are Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. But, keep in mind, you will still have to pay federal income tax on the winnings.
