Local teams from around the region, including Aptos and Live Oak, are in town for placement games, giving Gilroy fans several matchups to catch this weekend.

• San Jose family accused of operating brothel network (ktvu.com) — Gilroy is one of several South Bay cities where prosecutors say a San Jose family allegedly ran brothels disguised as massage parlors, following a countywide human trafficking investigation. Authorities report more than 40 women were identified, over $1.2 million seized, and multiple felony charges filed after “Operation Family Ties.”
