Police Arrest Two for Gang Shooting; Armed Man Still Wanted

Two arrests have been made in relation to last week's homicide, but one suspect is still on the loose.

Police have made two arrests in connection to the April 3 fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in Gilroy.

On April 8, Jose Morales Cortez, 21, and a 17-year-old male were both taken into custody for their parts in the homicide. A third suspect, Juan Guerra, pictured above, has not been located and is considered armed and dangerous, Sgt. Pedro Espinoza said. 

The night of the shooting, police responded to the 7300 block of Chestnut Street and found two men suffering gunshot wounds. Jesse Emmanuel Silos, 30, of Firebaugh, died at the hospital, while the other man, a 37-year-old from Gilroy, is

The shooting has been determined to be motivated by gang affiliation, Espinoza dais.
