Police Blotter: Hammer Attack Outside Burger Restaurant?

Also, shoplifters at Rite Aid pulled a gun on an employee, which makes them armed robbers now.

Drunk in Public: A 44-year-old man was arrested after he caused a disturbance at Longhouse restaurant around 1:45 a.m.

DUI: A 20-year-old man was arrested for driving drunk following a short, high-speed chase and foot pursuit on IOOF and Murray avenues. 

Commercial Burglary: Four chainsaws were stolen from Tractor Supply Co. on Cameron Boulevard around 2:30 a.m.

Vandalism: A tagger was arrested on Hecker Pass Highway around 10 a.m.

Car Burglary: A window was smashed and a Coach purse stolen from a vehicle on Murray Avenue in the morning. 

Trespassing: Two men and a woman were ticketed for trespassing at an Alexander Avenue property around 11:40 a.m.

Robbery: Two people tried to shoplift from Rite Aid around 7:10 p.m. When an employee confronted them, one pulled a gun. The robbers fled in a car.

Stolen Vehicle: A woman reported her vehicle, which she had lent to someone earlier in the spring, stolen. The vehicle had just been used in a robbery. 

Stolen Vehicle: A white 1997 Acrua Integra was stolen from Arroyo Circle.

DUI: A 24-year-old man was arrested on Monterey Street around 1:15 a.m. 

Commercial Burglary: A man and woman,a ges 29 and 26, were arrested for burglarizing a business on Eigleberry Street around 1:40 a.m.

Car burglary: A stereo face plate was stolen overnight on Pierce Street. 

Stolen Vehicle: A black 1987 Toyota 4-Runner was taken from the Safeway parking lot in the morning. 

Home Break-in: A burglar kicked in a garage door and stole tools, including a soldering gun, from the garage on Kelton Drive while the resident was home. 

Vandalism: A car was damaged on Swaston Lane, likely due to a civil dispute. 

Commercial Burglary: Ten bottles of motor oil were stolen from a business on Camino Arroyo.

Assault: A person was attacked with a blunt object—possibly a hammer—in the In-N-Out Burger parking lot around 8 p.m. 

May 25
Burglary Tools: Police recovered a stolen vehicle on Monterey Street. A man said he had property in the car, but those items were considered burglary tools and the 28-year-old was arrested

Commercial Burglary: Someone broke into an Eigleberry Street business by ripping out a window screen and forcing the window open. It happened overnight. Nothing was taken. 

Warrant Arrest: A 53-year-old woman was arrested on Garlic Farm Way just before 9 a.m.

Car Burglary: Four pairs of new cowboy boots and some CDs were stolen overnight from a car parked on Hanna Street. 

Dog Bite: A dog was bitten by another dog on Sturla Way. 

Attempted Robbery: A would-be robber tried to grab cash from a man's hand while he was helping a customer at a Monterey Street business. 

Assault: A woman reported that someone slammed a bedroom door on her and it hit her in the face. The District Attorney's Office is looking into it.

Assault: A man reported he was pushed during an argument about buying a car on Chestnut street around 4 p.m. Again, the D.A.'s  Office will look into it. 

Assault: A woman was arrested on Willow Court for beating up her 65-year-old mother. 

Trespassing: A 40-year-old man was cited for trespassing on an Alexander Street property around 8 p.m.

Warrant Arrest: A 28-year-old man was picked up on Camino Arroyo around 7:30 p.m.

DUI: Two arrests were made at the DUI checkpoint on Monterey Street. Two men, ages 65 and 27, went to jail. 

DUI: A 25-year-old man was arrested on Fifth Street around 10:40 p.m.

Stolen Vehicle: A blue 1999 BMW was reported stolen. 

Car Burglary: A bag of tools was taken from a vehicle on Sorrento Court overnight.
