Police Seeking Booze Robbers Who Used Gun In Morgan Hill Safeway
Two men caught here on a Safeway surveillance camera and walked out with alcohol displaying a gun along the way.

MORGAN HILL, CA -- Police hope it's the last call for two men who allegedly waltzed into the liquor aisle of the Safeway at the Tennant Station and stole alcohol and fled early Saturday morning.
They were confronted as they walked out, and one of them pulled out a handgun.
The men were last seen driving a silver, two-door Honda Accord with damage detected on the side of the passenger door.

"It happens every day. If I went undercover every day, I would find someone stealing," Safeway manager Tony Perez told Patch. But he admitted a thief pulling out a gun to make a getaway is quite a different type of act.
"It's the first time," said Perez, who's worked for the grocer for two years.

The store manager would like to see stricter laws that act as more of a deterrent. Stealing something of value under $499 is considered a misdemeanor.
"The laws are against us," he said.
Officers would like your help finding the suspects. Anyone with information may call the Morgan Hill Police Department at 408-779-2101.
