Sixth Street Closure Scheduled for Wednesday

The City of Gilroy will close the westbound lane of Sixth Street tomorrow, between Monterey and Eigleberry, to allow for sidewalk improvements.

Here is the message from Daniel Hughes, City Development Engineer:

“West bound traffic from Monterey Street to Eigleberry Street will be closed on Thursday March 10th from 7.00am to 6.00pm to lay asphalt on the north side of the street as part of the Sixth Street Sidewalk Improvement Project. Detour and road closed ahead signs will be installed.  The road will be opened as soon as the asphalt is cool enough to allow traffic.”
