Two Fatals In Same Area Of Watsonville Five Hours Apart

Morgan Hill police responded to two fatal accidents Friday afternoon off Watsonville Road.

MORGAN HILL, CA -- A 71-year-old pedestrian was killed in the second vehicle fatality
on Watsonville Road in Morgan Hill Friday, police said, Margaret Snively of Morgan Hill was pronounced dead at a hospital after a vehicle struck her at 8:08 p.m. as she was walking in the area of Watsonville Road and Venetian Way, police and the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office said.

Earlier in the day, a crash in the same area killed 26-year-old Gilroy woman Tiffany Ulanimo, according to police and the medical examiner. Ulanimo was a passenger in a vehicle in a crash at 3:45 p.m.

In Snively's death, police found her lying in the road with significant injuries when they arrived. Police and firefighters at the scene tried to save her life. She was taken to a trauma center where she was pronounced dead as she arrived. Police said before the collision Snively was seen crossing north on Watsonville Road near Venetian Way when the vehicle, traveling west on
Watsonville Road, struck her.

Police said witnesses corroborated what the driver told them.
