SR-17 Crash & Hwy 101 Vehicle Fire Cleared From Morning Commute

GILROY, CA -- A vehicle fire that blocked the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 south of Coyote Creek Golf Drive between Gilroy and San Jose early Wednesday morning gave way to a crash that occurred a few hours later on State Route 17 at Summit Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Both have been cleared, along with another crash off North DeAnza Boulevard in Cupertino.

In addition, a large piece of equipment that was blocking the intersection of Maple and Center avenues has also been removed.
