Woman Killed In Head-On Crash Near Gilroy Identified
The collision was reported around 11:15 a.m. Saturday along state Highway 152 east of Gilroy.

GILROY, CA — A San Jose woman killed in a head-on crash on state Highway 152 east of Gilroy on Saturday morning has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office as 60-year-old Sandra Pantages.
The collision was reported around 11:15 a.m. Saturday along the highway, also called Pacheco Pass Highway, just west of Lovers Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened when the driver of a 2015 Chrysler 200 headed west turned left for unknown reasons, drove over the yellow lines and crashed head-on into an eastbound 2009 Honda Fit, CHP officials said. The woman killed was a passenger in the Honda; the car's driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler also suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Alcohol or drugs are not suspected as factors in the collision, according to the CHP.
