Burglars Break Down Elderly Woman's Door, Flee When They Discover Her Inside

Two burglars busted in through the back door of an elderly Glendora woman's home but ran away when they saw her inside.

Two burglars broke down a door to gain entry to a Glendora woman's home but ran off after discovering the woman inside, police said.

The men knocked on the front door of a home in the 500 block of East Sycamore at 12:19 p.m., Glendora Police Lt. Jamie Caldwell said. When no one answered, they went around back and busted the back door in.

At that point they discovered the resident was inside.

"She screamed and they turned around and ran out the door," Caldwell said. "They were fully expecting there to be nobody home."

The men were last seen running westbound on Sycamore, Caldwell said.
