Gladstone Park's Restrooms Renovation Too Costly, City Recommends Rejecting Bids

Bids for the project came in much higher than what the city budgeted.

The Glendora City Council will decide whether to move forward with a restroom renovation project at Gladstone Park after bids on the project came in way over budget.

The project was budgeted for $100,000 but two bids from contractors estimated the work would cost at least $186,000, city records show.

The city has also found another funding source to pay for the renovation and staff recommends that the city reject the current bids and re-advertise the project to include additional costs.
