The Glendora Police Department is participating in a special enforcement operation with other law enforcement agencies this week meant to promote child passenger safety in vehicles.

The Glendora Police Department as joined other law enforcement agencies this week in a nationwide enforcement operation aimed at promoting child passenger safety in automobiles, according to the department's Facebook page.
"Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of deaths and injuries for children and young people," GPD states on the page. "Based on data provided by the California Highway Patrol, more than 80% of the children under four years of age killed in traffic collisions since 1990 died in survivable crashes. In other words, they would have lived if their parents at properly buckled them up."
