Yellow Alert in Glendora for Colby Fire Burn Area Residents
The residents in the area of the Colby Fire burn scar are under Yellow Alert in Glendora.

GLENDORA, CA — With a storm moving into the region, city officials in Glendora raised the alert level for residents living below the Colby Fire burn area.
As this is the first storm of the season, residents are asked to take action, monitor surroundings and check city sites for updates according to the City of Glendora's facebook page.
Though significant flooding is not expected, the yellow alert status requires residents in the area to remove vehicles, trash bins and other obstructions from streets to ensure emergency access to the area and prevent damage from possible flooding.

Glendora officials also noted that rain is expected to start falling in the area early Friday morning, with precipitation estimates for the San Gabriel Valley ranging from 1/4-inch to more than 1 inch of rain, with periods of heavy rainfall possible.
Wet weather will primarily result in slick roads, and there could be some debris on streets.

"Based upon forecasts, we do not anticipate any significant problems. ... The storm will be much stronger up north but will weaken as it hits LA County," according to a Facebook post by the city.
