It's Baby Goat Season At Harley Farms

The award-winning San Mateo County cheese maker offers farm tours, along with a farm shop selling cheeses, jams, soaps, and more.

PESCADERO, CA — It's baby goat season at Harley Farms in Pescadero! Since Feb. 1, more than 100 kids have been born at the farm.

Take country roads through San Mateo County until you reach the farm, "We are a small-scale farmstead goat dairy which produces goat cheese, exclusively using milk from our own goats and adhering to traditional cheesemaking methods," the farm describes itself online. "The bucolic farm and its historic buildings are located two miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, in the town of Pescadero, California. Its proximity to the ocean impacts the terroir of the goats’ pasture and contributes to the mild flavor of our cheese."

The Farm Shop, at 205 North Street in Pescadero, sells award-winning cheeses, jams, jellies, oils and more created in the Farm Kitchen, along with a Bath & Body products line of aged bar soap, liquid soap, face, eye, and body lotions, face cleanser and toner, bath oils, bath salts, and more.
