Falling on the last Monday of May each year, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in the military. It's a federal holiday that many people get off from work, resulting in a three-day weekend.

This year, Memorial Day falls on May 27, and for many, this holiday weekend marks the unofficial start of summer. We've rounded up some things to do Memorial Day Weekend in and around Half Moon Bay. “Tony Lindsay And The Soul Stirrers” Concert

What: Enjoy an afternoon of world-class jazz by the ocean with legendary vocalist Tony Lindsay and The Soul Soldiers. As lead vocalist for Santana, internationally-known Lindsay has earned 11 Grammy awards and recorded over a dozen albums. Performing hits from Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Etta James, Sam Cooke and beyond, Lindsay is joined by Fred Ross, who has performed with Aretha Franklin and other greats.

"The Wailers" Concert
