2 Earthquakes Rattle North Bay

Two earthquakes erupted within minutes of each other in the Bay Area. Did you feel them?

HEALDSBURG, CA— Two earthquakes struck north of San Francisco on Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The first, which was recorded as a 4.1 magnitude earthquake, struck an area called The Geysers in northern Sonoma County at 7:08 a.m.

That quake was followed by a 2.8-magnitude temblor, recorded at 7:09 a.m., close to where the first quake erupted. The morning temblors were felt across the Bay Area, according to the USGS.

The first and larger quake was felt from Castle Springs Rock to Healdsburg and as far away as Bodega Bay.

No injuries or damages were immediately reported in either quake.
