Man Wanted For Felony Arrested For Suspected Rock-Throwing On Healdsburg Avenue: Police

Police charged a man they said confronted several people Wednesday at a bus stop on Healdsburg Avenue.

HEALDSBURG, CA —Police arrested a man suspected of confronting people at a Healdsburg Avenue bus stop on Wednesday, leaving shattered glass and reports from alarmed passers-by.

The sequence began when a driver reported to police that a man was throwing rocks and debris at passing cars from the bus stop.

After arriving, the man "verbally berated officers and made vague threats toward them," according to Healdsburg police.

Officers arrested Taylor Hampton, a 29-year-old Santa Rosa resident, wanted on a felony warrant in San Francisco.

Police said that after being arrested, a woman reported Hampton had threatened her at the bus stop with a glass bottle, then threw the bottle into the roadway. Police found shattered glass in the roadway.

Police took Hampton to the Main Adult Detention Facility in Santa Rosa and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon and throwing objects at a motor vehicle.
