2nd Teen Was Injured In Stabbing Near Healdsburg Skate Park: Police

Police said they learned of a second teen wounded in the Sunday stabbing that also left a 16-year-old boy with serious injuries.

HEALDSBURG, CA — Two teens were seriously injured during a stabbing Sunday night at a Healdsburg skate park, according to an update from police.

Officials initially shared details about a 16-year-old boy who suffered multiple stab wounds to his back Sunday night on the Foss Creek Pathway, behind the Carson Warner Memorial Skate Park. The victim told police he and some acquaintances had an altercation with an unknown group. Medics rushed the boy to the hospital with serious injuries.

In an update Monday, police said they learned of a second stabbing victim, a 17-year-old boy, who was stabbed during the same incident and admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. Both boys are expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Investigators are still looking into the circumstances that led to the stabbing and working to determine who was involved. Police said the victim's "lack of cooperation" hindered the investigation.
