Airline Offers 4 New Flights To Pacific Northwest Out Of SoCo Airport
"This is the single largest announcement of new destinations at one time in the airport's history."
SANTA ROSA, CA — Avelo Airlines will add four new non-stop Pacific Northwest destinations from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport to Kalispell, Montana; Boise, Idaho; Salem, Oregon; and Pasco, Washington — doubling the airline's outbound destinations from the airport in Santa Rosa.
The move was announced Wednesday and expands on Avelo’s recent announcement that it would open a crew base at the Santa Rosa airport this May. It also continues to highlight Sonoma County’s value and importance as a destination and regional transportation hub, officials said.
"It’s great to see Avelo expand on its commitment to Sonoma County as both a destination and a transportation hub," said Supervisor David Rabbitt, chair of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. "I look forward to welcoming new visitors from all across the Pacific Northwest, Idaho and Montana."

The four new routes start in May aboard Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Add the new routes and STS now offers direct flights to 15 destinations across the western United States.
"Sonoma County continues to prove itself as an award-winning destination, and I’m thrilled to see Avelo opening up new routes and bringing in new faces from all over the western United States," said District 4 Supervisor James Gore, who represents the airport area.

Airport Manager Jon Stout called Avelo's announcement a historic one.
"With four new destinations on the map, Avelo is really expanding the travel possibilities here at STS," Stout said. "This is, in the best way, going to be really impactful for all of Sonoma County’s residents. This is the single largest announcement of new destinations at one time in the airport’s history."
Avelo's founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said the new routes are "just a preview of the opportunities ahead for Avelo" when its new base opens in May, creating 50 local jobs.
"Sonoma County Airport is by far the Bay Area’s best airport — its small, smooth and seamless travel experience is unmatched by any other airport in the region," Levy said. "This is why we are doubling the number of nonstop destinations Avelo offers from STS. With eight popular nonstop routes spanning the West Coast, Avelo makes getting to and from the Bay Area and California Wine Country more affordable and easier than ever."
With the new additions, Avelo will serve eight nonstop destinations from Charles M Schulz–Sonoma County Airport. Currently, the airline flies from Santa Rosa to Los Angeles/Burbank and Palm Springs; Bend, Oregon; and Las Vegas.
The new flights to Boise via the Boise Airport (BOI) start May 2 on Thursdays and Sundays.
The new flights to Kalispell, Montana via the Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) begin May 1 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
On Mondays and Fridays starting May 3, the airline will fly to Portland/Salem, Oregon via the Salem Municipal Airport (SLE).
On Wednesdays and Sundays beginning May 1, Avelo will fly to Pasco, Washington via the Tri-Cities Airport (PSC).
American Airlines and Alaska Airlines also operate out of Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), the only airport that offers scheduled air service into the North Bay region, the home of Northern California's world-renowned wine country. Outbound destinations from STS include Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Burbank, Palm Springs, Portland, Bend, Seattle, Dallas, Phoenix Sky Harbor and Las Vegas. All airlines offer a wide range of connecting flights to destinations in the continental United States, Mexico and beyond.
Compared to major airports, STS has short lines and is an easy commute for North Bay residents. It features convenient ground transportation options, two hours of free parking, electric vehicle charging stations, and onsite dining options including Tap & Pour, Crush Wine Lounge, Runway Wellness & Express Spa, Apple Spice and Costeaux on the Go.
