Allow Customers Of Healdsburg Electric To See Their Usage

Petition asks City Council to fund the missing piece of electricity meters.

Healdsburg residents are fortunate that their local Healdsburg Electric has been installing electric meters that collect detailed information about electricity usage at different times of the day. However, this usage data is not available to residents because the “user interface” has not been funded – yet. To fund this missing piece is important, because with access to the usage data, residents could manage their energy use more proactively. This could reduce their electric bills and help reduce greenhouse gases.

A petition launched by Climate Action Healdsburg calls on the Healdsburg City Council to provide a budget for developing the user interface that allows customers of Healdsburg Electric to see their own data. "It's time we take control over our energy use for the betterment of our community and environment", the petition reminds us ahead of Earth Day and the Climate Fest on April 21.
