With 10 Days to Go, Panic Strikes

OK, we've had a couple good practices for on Nov. 12.

But really, what will it be like to dance for the first time in front of hundreds of people?

Gulp.

"We're speeding up too much in practice -- we've got to keep it slow," my pro partner Jason Taylor said today. "You know, when you get up on stage, the adrenalin will be pumping, and you'll want to go fast."

Even Jason said he felt this when he performs. He was just named an All-Star in West Coast Swing at a competition in Anaheim.

That's a highly coveted honor that gives him special booking at dance competitions and also added credentials for teaching dance.

"When my girlfriend and I were practicing, we had three turns in the program and were trying to make it work," he said. "Then, when we got on stage there was all this time and we ended up doing four turns."

Geez, I'm just hoping not to fall on my derrière...
