Bruce Mentzer, Anthony Solar Farm To Fight Hunger In Healdsburg, SoCo

These community leaders run a Healdsburg farm and ensure that 100 percent of what is raised gets distributed to their neighbors in need.

HEALDSBURG, CA — Without community leaders, Healdsburg wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

What does this community leader do?

These gentlemen started up a nonprofit, Farm to Fight Hunger. On this farm, they grow vegetables/eggs and 100% raised is distributed to the community in need through various distribution sites. In addition, they grow vegetable starts and support community gardens for those in temporary housing to ensure fresh healthy food choices are available.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

These individuals work tirelessly for their community. Recipients are very thankful for having healthy food choices available to them.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
