Driver Alert: Roads Closed Near Ygnacio Valley Road

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Drivers should avoid Ygnacio Valley Road at Homestead Avenue in both directions due to a water main break causing major delays in one of Walnut Creek's busiest roadways.

The middle lanes in both eastbound and westbound directions closed down due to the break reported at 7:30 a.m.

This evening, traffic extended for a mile in either direction during the commute.

Authorities said Rrpair crews were actively working to restore service. However, lane closures are now expected to remain in place at least through Friday evening.
